Ventnor is a small town on south-east side of the island. It is situated on the side of the highest point on the island.  

The seafront is reached by going down the "zig-zag" road, which has a waterfall flowing underneath it. On the seafront, there is a paddling pool in the shape of the island.

The town has benefited from regenetation, with the creation of a harbour and a bandstand.

Further up from the town is the Undercliff, a strengh of land that which was created in a landslip. This has resulted in the area being affected by landslides.

The Undercliff is home to the Ventnor Botanic Gardens. An area where tropical plants can grow


Ventnor is rich with choice of attractions to suit everybodys taste, including: The IOW Donkey Sanctuary, Appuldurcombe House, Ventnor Botanic Gardens, St Catherines Lighthouse & Blackgang Chine

Route 3 to Newport/Sandown/Shanklin & Ryde

Route 6 to Niton/Blackgang/Chale & Newport

The Island Coaster to Blackgang & Yarmouth
