    The island has an amazing choice of beaches! From the popular Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin, to the quiet Compton and Castlehaven Island Beaches The island has over 57 miles of coastline, which most of it is accessible.The beaches at Ryde, Shanklin and Sandown are sandy with brilliant beachside amenities. The beach at Ventnor is mostly shingle but it still well worth a visit. In the summer these beaches get very busy, so if you are after a more quiet beach trip why not visit the beaches on the western side of the island. These are safe and clean but some are isolated from towns and villages. Which ever beach you chose you are guaranteed a great time.
