The island has an amazing choice of beaches! From the popular Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin, to the quiet Compton and Castlehaven Island Beaches Insula are peste 57 de mile de coastă, cea mai mare parte fiind accesibilă. Vara, aceste plaje sunt foarte aglomerate, așa că dacă doriți o excursie mai liniștită pe plajă, de ce să nu vizitați plajele de pe partea de vest a insulei. Acestea sunt sigure și curate, dar unele sunt izolate de orașe și sate. Indiferent de plaja pe care ai ales-o, ti se garanteaza un timp minunat. The island is one of the Dinosaur fossil capitals of the world! Dinosaurs Insula Wight este unul dintre cele mai bune locuri de pe planetă pentru descoperiri de dinozauri! Geologia insulei este principalul motiv pentru descoperirile de fosile. Coasta de la Sandown la West Wight este alcatuita din argila moale, care pastreaza fosilele, dar provoaca si eroziunea grava care expune fosilele. Cel mai des întâlnit dinozaur pe insulă este Iguanodon. Puteți vedea chiar și urmele pașilor de la Compton la valul scăzut.
